Summer HAF Activity Club: July & August 2025

PLEASE NOTE: This project is part of the Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) Programme, for young people in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea who are eligible for benefit-related Free School Meals. Snacks and lunch will be provided.

Unfortunately, places for this club are limited. Week 1 & Week 2 of this club are currently fully booked. If you would like to be added to the waiting list for either or both weeks, you can still sign-up using the form at the bottom of this page.

This summer holiday the Floating Classroom is offering two 4-day activity clubs on board our wide-beam canal barge in Paddington over 2 weeks in late July and August.

Activities currently scheduled (with more to be added) include:

Boat trips on the Floating Classroom
Kayaking on the canal (Week 1 - children aged 8+ only)
Puppetry workshop
Storytelling workshop
Arts & Crafts activities

Children aged 8-11 can sign-up for both weeks of the club. Children aged 6+ can sign-up for Week 2.

The Floating Classroom Summer HAF Activity Club will take place from 11am - 3pm on the Floating Classroom in Paddington on:

This activity is for children who are eligible and registered for benefit-related free school meals.

Healthy, cost-free snacks and lunch will be provided.

Children’s Free School Meals registration status will be checked by the council before the club begins, so please make sure your child is registered. If inaccurate information has been provided we may have to cancel your child’s place at the club.

Photo Consent

Occasionally, we take photos during the activities we run. We would be grateful for your permission to take photos of your child and use these in our printed and online publicity for the Floating Classroom. This might include (but is not limited to) our printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications. Our funders may also use these images for their promotional material. You are not required to provide photo consent, and we will ensure that no images of your child are stored or used by the charity if you do not provide your consent.

Sharing information with the council

We will be sharing a limited amount of data with Westminster City Council as part of the monitoring requirements for this programme. This information will include your child’s date of birth, school and full name. This information will be matched with school census information to monitor eligibility and reach of the Holiday and Activity Fund Programme.
