The Floating Classroom works in partnerships with schools to offer topic-based projects on the boat. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss one of our already established projects or have a new project in mind.
Funded by the Young Westminster Foundation, the Explorers project is an opportunity for Year 6 students to explore what matters to them as they say goodbye to their current school and move towards new experiences. Sessions include mindfulness, yoga and movement, and group problem solving, all while cruising the waterways aboard the Floating Classroom.
Over the course of 5 sessions, children learn techniques to manage their mental health positively and take the lead in offering each other support and advice. They finish the project excited about the notion of change and confident about the new opportunities that lie ahead.
