Afterschool Nature Club
This summer term, the Floating Classroom is running a free weekly 2-hour afterschool Nature Club at Stone Wharf in North Paddington.
When: 4pm-6pm Mondays from 11th May to 13th July
Drop-off & Pick-up: The Floating Classroom
Suitable for: children aged 8+.
Drop-off at the Floating Classroom from 3.45pm
No club on Monday 4th May (Bank Holiday) and Monday 25th May (Half-Term)
Each week, our Nature Club will explore the many ways that people and nature can thrive together. Through hands-on activities such as gardening and growing, caring for wildlife, taking sustainable action, and designing spaces that support biodiversity, children will discover how small actions can help nature thrive.
Using a local green space as our living classroom, children will work together to dig, plant, observe the changing seasons, and discover how our green spaces support wildlife and biodiversity. We’ll also draw inspiration from the natural world around us, using nature-based crafts to explore our creativity.
Our sessions will nurture a deeper connection with nature, encouraging children to engage their senses, appreciate the beauty of the natural world, reflect on how nature makes them feel, and take thoughtful, caring actions to help our environment flourish.
Please note that we will be working outdoors in all weather so please do bring appropriate clothing for the forecast.
The club is free, but places are limited. If your child (or children) would like to take part, please complete the sign-up form below or using this link: Afterschool Nature Club (Stone Wharf) Registration Form
